The IxDesign Lab is a scientific research laboratory, aimed at the study and practices of Interaction Design (IxD), Multimedia, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), digital / physical interfaces (UI) and User Experience (UX), framed by the post-humanist perspective.
It is also an educational a pedagogical tool to assist students with references for their projects.

IXDESIGNLAB DESCRIPTION
The “I” that starts the name of the laboratory represents – in addition to Interaction and Interface – Inclusion, Intersectionality and Identity concerns – concepts that are considered essential for the development of Human-Computer Interactions that might mitigate the reproduction of inequalities, stereotypes and prejudices, which are manifest in contemporary systems.

The areas of interest of the laboratory, in the development of HCI, Interaction Design, Interfaces and UX Design projects, are:

O IxDesign Lab é um laboratório de investigação científica, direcionado para o estudo e as práticas de Design de Interação, Multimédia, HCI, Interfaces digitais/físicas (UI) e Experiência de Utilização (UX), enquadrados pela perspetiva pós-humanista.

O “I” que inicia o nome do laboratório representa, para além de Interação e Interface, preocupações de Inclusão, de Interseccionalidade e de Identidade. Conceitos que se entendem essenciais para o desenvolvimento de Interações Humano-Computador que mitiguem a reprodução de desigualdades, estereótipos e preconceitos, manifestos nos sistemas contemporâneos.
